Argyle tractor pull set for cancer charities, high school scholarship

ARGYLE, NY (NEWS10) – Residents of Washington County – and basically anyone with a tractor – are invited to donate charity.

The 12th Annual Carl Lufkin Memorial Pull for a Cure was announced Friday, scheduled for July 17 at 14 Lufkin Way in Argyle.

Tractive forces are divided into classes for different vehicle types, from typical tractors to highly modified models. Trek competitions run all day long.

All proceeds from the pull will go to charities, including The American Cancer Society, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, The Cancer Research Center, and The Lufkin Legacy Foundation, which offers scholarships to high school students. Admission is $ 10 per adult or $ 30 per car charge.

Washington County parks are set to open Memorial Day Weekend

To date, the tractor pull has raised more than $ 165,000 for cancer-related charities. Last year’s event took part in more than 250 garden tractors and 140 four-wheel drive farm tractors.

Camping is free on site. Campers ask to arrive and set up for the events on Friday evening.
