NEW TECHNIQUE AT TRMC: Trumbull Regional Medical Center is partnering with Veran to deliver advanced technology with the SPiN Thoracic Navigation System, enabling patients to better diagnose and treat lung cancer.

The new technology uses electromagnetic navigation (EMN), which is similar to the GPS in your car, to direct doctors to even the smallest, hard-to-reach nodules, resulting in earlier detection of lung cancer. The system is minimally invasive and allows doctors to reach and biopsy small suspicious nodules anywhere in the lungs, speeding up diagnosis without the need for multiple procedures.
