Car show in Waterville Saturday benefits Maine Children’s Cancer Program

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) – One of the largest auto shows in New England was held this weekend in Waterville as part of the Maine Children’s Cancer Program.

The 7th Annual Cruisin’ For A Cure Car Show was Saturday at The Robert Lafleur Airport from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The fundraiser was canceled last year due to the pandemic.

The event featured food, prizes, ribbons, trophies and more, all to support a good cause.

“Many years ago, in the late 1990s, we raised a lot of money for various organizations and our employees adopted the Maine Children’s Cancer Program as one of the charities we support,” said Ryan Poulin, CEO of New Dimensions FCU. “We have set a goal for this $20,000 event for today.”

Over 20 classes of cars on display let anyone with a cool ride get into the show for $10.
