To help protect the health of patients and employees, the following visitor restrictions and screening requirements apply to all CaroMont Health facilities.
Health research: All individuals entering a CaroMont Health facility are required to answer health screening questions prior to entry.
masks: All persons must wear a mask (cloth or surgical) when entering, entering and exiting all CaroMont Health facilities. Ventilated masks, bandanas and neck protectors are not allowed.
Regional Medical Center CaroMont
The main hospital lobby is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
Hospital Units | Adult patients
Adult patients admitted to or receiving care in the hospital can have two (2) visitors at a time. Visitors may rotate during the patient’s stay, as long as this does not cause any inconvenience to patients and nursing/medical staff.
Hospital Units | Pediatric Patients
Pediatric patients and minors (under 18 years of age) may be accompanied by two (2) parents or guardians at all times.
Other hospital departments
Emergencies: Emergency room patients may visit two (2) visitors at a time.
The Birthplace of CaroMont Health: Obstetric patients in the Birthplace are allowed to have one (1) partner and one (1) birth attendant with them during their stay. These persons can rotate with other visitors during visitor hours; however, the total number of persons (partner, birth assistant and other visitors) in the patient room may not exceed two (2).
All hospital visitors must:
Be at least 18 years old. Have no symptoms of COVID-19 or other respiratory illnesses. Have not tested positive for COVID-19 or have a pending COVID-19 test in the past four days. Wear a mask at all times when in the facility; the mask should cover the mouth and nose. Ventilated masks, bandanas and neck protectors are not allowed. Follow all social distancing guidelines and other signage or directions from staff; remain in the designated areas at all times.
Exceptions to Hospital Visiting Restrictions:
Visitors are not allowed on patients who have been diagnosed or are being tested for COVID-19. Patients with the following conditions may receive more additional visits as determined by the treating physician and facility management: End-of-life conditions Certain communication barriers Caregiver/decision making
Where visits are not possible, family and friends are encouraged to use other forms of communication support for their loved ones, such as phone calls or video chats on cell phones or other mobile devices. Talk to your healthcare team about virtual communication options.
Residents of Courtland Terrace are allowed two (2) visitors. Visiting hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. For the safety of residents and staff, all visitors must be screened for COVID-19 symptoms/exposure and always wear an approved mask.
CaroMont Medical Group – Doctor’s Practices and Urgent Care Centers
Adult patients visiting doctors’ offices and emergency rooms may be accompanied by one (1) person. Pediatric patients and minors (under 18 years of age) may be accompanied by two (2) parents or guardians. If patients experience symptoms of COVID-19 or have been exposed to someone with a suspected or confirmed case of the virus, they are asked to call before visiting a CaroMont Medical Group office or urgent care location.
