Fidelia Asomani One of 12 To Research Pediatric Cancer, Thanks To National Grant – CBS Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A local college student is fighting cancer, and her efforts were boosted by a national charity.

Fidelia Asomani graduated from Notre Dame Maryland University last May with a degree in biology.

She just earned a spot in the Pediatric Oncology Student training program.

She is one of 12 students from across the country who received this scholarship from Alex’s Lemonade Stand and Northwestern Mutual.

It will support each of them through eight weeks of research experience with top researchers in the field of pediatric oncology.

Asomani will work with a team at Johns Hopkins University.
