Panda Express has pledged $5 million to California’s pediatric health care system, known as CHOC, as part of the Panda Cares Center of Hope philanthropic initiative to support children’s hospital programs and services. The donation will help fund education, research, technology and patient- and family-centered care across the CHOC system, a press release said.

Panda Cares Center of Hope, a national initiative launched last year, is a partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. It supports programs that address the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual needs of children.

Since 2007, Panda Express and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals have worked together to positively impact the health and well-being of children. To date, Panda has raised more than $100 million for numerous Children’s Miracle Network hospitals through guest and employee donations.
