Town Of Islip: Town To Adorn Holiday Tree In Gold To Support Children’s Cancer Awareness Month

August 30, 2021

August 30, 2021 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter invites residents to show their support for the Christina Renna Foundation and the fight against childhood cancer during the month of September by donning a gold ribbon. Since 1997, the American Childhood Cancer Organization has used the gold ribbon to symbolize that children’s lives, like gold, are irreplaceable and precious. The Christmas tree outside Islip Town Hall will be decorated with gold ribbons in September to support the Christina Renna Foundation and the fight against childhood cancer.
